Kashflow - we like a lot

We’ve got a lot of new things happening soon and one of the things we wanted to do was generate less paper and have a better way of invoicing. The excellent Sue McGaughran at Lime One recommended Kashflow. And we’re hooked.

If you’re an existing client you will notice that our invoices are going to start looking a bit different – the major thing being we’re not going to be printing copies of them out. They’re all going to be sent as PDF’s and we’re hoping that recipients won’t need to print them either. We had wrestled with a mix of excel and sage for a couple of years, until I managed to totally destroy the sage software and couldn’t be chewed to start again. Accounts day was becoming a lot like the day before you have to write an essay and you do anything you can to avoid putting it off. Our office is always tidy the day before accounts day…

So – Sue recommended Kashflow and we started the 60 day free trial. Being numerically challenged I did have to ask a couple of questions and the answer came back from support in under 5 minutes – very impressed. It also runs a report that tells you what your VAT liability is – which means I don’t have to sit and weep at my machine trying to get our VAT return done every quarter.

Anyway – as you can see we’ve added a link – yes it is an affiliate one – but that’s because you get it £20 cheaper if you decide you want it – and we figured the fewer people printing invoices the better. Enjoy.
