More tea vicar?
8 August, 2007
We reckon that between the three of us we consume in excess of 2,500 cups of tea in the office per annum.
Taking into account that Dan has coffee sometimes and each of us has a minimum of 2 turns at making the tea per day…
If we thought we liked our tea, we’ve just read about Malcolm Watt who intends to drink a cup of tea in all 92 old Counties of the UK. Quick as a flash we alerted Margaret Thornby, who writes the excellent Guide to Tea Rooms of Britain. Well if he’s going to do it he might as well drink good tea eh?
Margaret would probably have our guts for garters if she knew we used tea bags, however, a good cup of tea bag tea, beats a bad cup of loose leaf any day. The trick is to put the milk in first. My lovely mate Bev Sanders converted me when I watching him make the tea and asked him why he put the milk in first. “Who makes the best tea in the office?” he asked “You do” I said, and according to the scientists, he’s not wrong.
