Rob Glass regularly appears on BBC East Midlands Today where he has made over 400 films since 2003. He has been acknowledged within the BBC as one of the most creative practitioners in Britain.
What we did
Rob already had an idea of the design he wanted (we’d have been very very surprised if he didn’t as he is just bubbling with ideas constantly) so we popped his idea onto Expression Engine.

What the client said
As a film production company I needed a website to convince potential clients that I am a genuine solution to their needs. I didn’t want to go down the conventional route of pasting clips from my films on the site as I believe these are for the client only. Also one man’s meat is another man’s poison. Instead I wanted a very simple looking website that would act as a newsletter: clients would see that I am busy week in, week out, working on a variety of projects.
Purple Dogfish understood my needs immediately and produced a website that surpassed my expectations. Through the use of expression engine the site is very easily updated and far from being a chore as I had expected, this is actually one of my tasks that I look forward to. As a result the website is fresh and fun (I hope) and I am updating far more regularly than I had anticipated which achieves an even fresher look.
As well as meeting my brief Purple Dogfish had further suggestions which I gladly approved and which have made the site far more efficient and user-friendly than I thought possible.
On a personal level the staff at Purple Dogfish are a joy to work with. They have an extremely friendly manner and are able to explain complex website procedures clearly over the phone which is no mean feat.
My website has been up and running for a month now. Early teething problems were few and far between, and even then very slight. Nevertheless they were dealt with swiftly and as a result I have a site that I am extremely proud of. Furthermore I have already noticed the number of enquiries about my services along with requests for quotes going up which I have no doubt is down to the professional feel of my website
