Lucy Truman Illustrator

Lucy is quite simply an AMAZING illustrator. She works for clients like the Sunday Times, Marie Claire, Kiwi, EMI. Her illustrations epitomize chic stylish glamour and idealistic living. Drawing inspiration from modernist architecture, retro interiors and 1950’s-60’s popular culture, Lucy’s art is ideal for pretty and feminine products with a fashionable twist.

What we did

After we stopped saying ‘wow’ we pulled ourselves together and thought about the best way to put the site together. Letting her art do the talking was the obvious way forward – does this site look like it needs a lot of copywriting? No – Lucy’s work is amazing and it speaks for itself…

There are a LOT of images on the site – we’ve built it on ExpressionEngine of course – and were really glad of the batch features in both fireworks and EE or I think we’d still be uploading images now. One of the other great features about EE is that when Lucy needed to move an image quickly the other day it was a 2 minute job.
