Pomegranate

Pomegranate is a free e-zine showcasing young poets and writers.

What we did

Before we did any design we worked with Charlotte and the editors to put together some ideas for a funding application for the Arts Council. Because the Editors are all working voluntarily we needed a way they could review submitted poetry quickly and simply without bombing emails round, then having to cut and paste the successful ones into their old website. So now all writing is submitted via the site and is held in a custom status called ‘review’. Once the successful entries are selected they’re all changed to published, unsuccessful ones are stored (so they’re not reviewed for the next edition) and the process begins again.
