What’s Happening at 16?
Dean and Celia currently run Public Hair in Southwell and are restoring a beautiful Georgian building as part of their plans.

What we did
What do you do when you have a building in the middle of being restored and you need to publicise what it’s going to be? We went for a site visit and although the building was in need of TLC, it was clear to see Celia and Dean’s vision. Problem is – how do you publicise what something is going to be? We’d heard that there were various stories going around about what the local people thought it might be so we thought we’d use this to our advantage.
Working with Sam from Pure Light we came up with the idea of mixing what it is with what it will be – and so started the What’s happening at 16 campaign. Sam and Glen provided the imagery that would set the ball rolling – we built the site (currently aliased to the earth site but will be back in it’s own right soon) put the adverts together and then put an extremely subtle 3ft by 25 ft banner up on the scaffolding with the URL on it. This was followed by advertising in the local press and chalked up a record number of unique visitors to the site in the first month.
